Crafted by Fattorini - medal maker to the Queen - under license to Jaguar Land Rover, these medallions were 24 Karat gold plated and presented in a velvet-lined, bespoke mahogany case etched with the Jaguar and Classic logos.

Whether displayed as a keepsake or (with minor rework) fitted to an E-Type, these medallions offered enthusiasts a rare opportunity to own a piece of motoring heritage.

They were originally available on a first-come, first-served basis and priced at £532.99 + VAT.

Creating a Centrepiece For A Masterpiece

The Jaguar E-Type, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, remains a defining symbol of 1960s style and engineering. To celebrate this legacy, the Jaguar Land Rover Classic team created a one-time-only edition of 150 collector’s badges - each a tribute to the car’s timeless appeal.

To bring this vision to life, we partnered with Fattorini, a family-run company established in 1827 and renowned for their exemplary metalwork. Their legacy includes crafting medals for the British Military and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, including the OBE and CBE.

Using an original 1961 E-Type badge as a template, Fattorini reverse-engineered the design with modern CAD technology, enhancing the detail and definition beyond the original. Each badge was pressed, polished, gold-plated, and hand-finished with bespoke details like the chequered flag. Finally, it was presented in a mahogany case that echoed the material and finish of the original steering wheel.

This offering was our way of celebrating one of the most influential automotive designs in history - pairing 21st-century craftsmanship with a 20th-century icon.
