Land Rover Classic & RNLI
The team at Classic Works have shown true Customer Love recently in supporting the RNLI with one of our Classic Land Rover Defenders. We were delighted to be contacted by a volunteer at the RNLI, who previously worked for our parent company Tata, to ask if we could help source some parts for their Land Rover Defender. We went one step further and offered to lightly restore the vehicle at our own cost in recognition of the important work the RNLI do #savinglivesatsea.

Repairs & Seamless Integration
Having spent its life launching boats and saving lives, it was frequently exposed to salt water - the vehicle’s doors had suffered significant corrosion, and the front seats were in need of repair. Upon arrival, it became clear that to securely fit the new doors and ensure they could endure a demanding working life, structural repairs to the A-posts were essential. Once our skilled technicians removed the corrosion from the A-posts and front end, the vehicle was sent to our paint department, where the repairs were seamlessly blended to match the rest of the bodywork.

Upgrades & Detailing
The new doors were expertly colour-matched by our talented paint team and seamlessly installed by our dedicated technicians. This upgrade included the addition of new hinges, door cards, handles, and fixings - necessary due to the transition to later-model Puma doors. Once installed, our meticulous team, driven by pride in their craftsmanship, turned their attention to refining other areas of the vehicle. They cleaned and repainted components showing signs of wear and corrosion, such as the side steps, slam panel, and front grille. To complete the transformation, they added the finishing touches: a fresh set of mud flaps and new number plates.
