In 2020, the sights and sounds of Goodwood came directly to living rooms around the world with the launch of SpeedWeek—a unique, behind-closed-doors event that brought together the best elements of the Festival of Speed, Revival, and Members’ Meetings. Jaguar Land Rover UK was proud to be part of this extraordinary celebration of motoring heritage and innovation.
Broadcast live from the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit, SpeedWeek celebrated over a century of automotive excellence - honouring the past, showcasing the present, and offering a glimpse into the future of motorsport.
CELEBRATING RANGE ROVER'S 50th ANNIVERSARY
RANGE ROVER'S ICONIC PARADE
One of the standout moments of SpeedWeek was the celebration of Range Rover’s 50th anniversary. A parade of 50 Range Rovers from across the decades took to the track, culminating in a spectacular aerial shot of the vehicles forming a giant number “50”.
Highlights included:
- The legendary ‘Beaver Bullet’, the first diesel car to average over 100mph for 24 hours
- A Trans-American Expedition Range Rover, known for conquering the treacherous Darien Gap in the 1970s
- A stunning lineup from the Land Rover Classic team, featuring models such as the P38, L322, and Range Rover Reborns
Jaguar thrilled audiences at SpeedWeek with the F-TYPE R in the Supercar Run, the F-PACE PHEV and new XF in the First Glance category, and an electrifying showdown between the Bespoke XK120, I-PACE, and Formula E I-TYPE.
